I wake up. I can't see you. I look on the other side of me, no...you aren't there either. I feel around myself trying to find your touch, trying to come in contact with your skin. Nothing. I sit straight up, panicking. Where are you? I yell your name. No answer. Of course you didn't reply. You're not here; you never were here.

Tears are running down my face now, faster than I can catch them. Another night of heartbreak, another night of seeing you dance through my dreams the way they do, but never being able to catch up with you. Another twisted nightmare of never being able to reach you.

I lay back down knowing I won't sleep well again tonight, knowing I will never stop you from running through my mind...
